While this is true, if OneDrive makes this experience much, much more fluid.

Parallels (and its main competitor, VMWare) is by far the most convenient.

The way I use Parallels is to put it into its own Space so I just do a three finger swipe on my trackpad to bring up the space where my Windows is running.

So with Parallels, I can be working in Windows while continuing to work in Mac apps.

But in BootCamp it is a several minute process to switch back and forth.

Parallels has plenty of performance for most Windows apps, including most any that you would need for school.

It is when people are playing multi-player games - such as those where the other players are shooting bullets at them - where getting every bit of performance out of your computer is a desirable thing.

There is no software layer between Windows and the CPU to add overhead and get you shot.

With Parallels, you need a license for Parallels and you need a license for Windows.
